Chambers and I were there and both fell victim unfortunately to the cumulative time scoring. It turns out you cant shoot targets at 100 yards when your eotech turns itself off and won't come back on at during a stage. 150+ penalty seconds is insurmountable when the stages arent done with weighted scoring. So that pretty much ended my weekend.
The stages were great, though they were a bit too ambitious trying to get so much into one day, and things came off the tracks for them. Then malfunctions, RO and safety issues caused half the match to get thrown out. I imagine if they learn from all the misques that this will be a fantastic match next year.

I'm very happy with 90% of my performance. I tanked one stage that was absolutely my own fault that ended up taking me out of the mix. Throwing out a couple more of our strong stages didn't help either. With time+ scoring the guy who shoots at 85% speed and holds it together all day is the one who wins.
We had some very...interesting conversations with RO's.
Like Curly said, it will be a great match next year.

I too wait for scores,,,
I did get to shoot all 10 stages,, and did OK,,, what I think were my two best stages,, Those being the Swat truck,,, and the House,,? Scores will tell,, did not make the cut for the 4 stages that made up the end score,, bummer about that,,

Paid $30, shot two nite stages under threat of impending AD through my forehead;
paid $130, shot 4 stages and ate a sandwich, got my prize. All that took 12.5 hours.
I hope they learn from this one.

Cyrwus, and you were accepted into the RNT fold, you stole some duct tape, ate Sonic burgers in front of us and didn't offer to share!!!, and did it all in less time than it took you to drive there. What other match can you say that about????
BTW how do YOU!!! AD a round into your own forehead with a carbine??? thats called intentional discharge not accidental!!!

"IF" you hadn't hmhawd around about scoring and prizes and got in for Sat.you could have shot a lot more.Thats your faultas far as a match goes,they put it on we went,they had some problems,I had a GREAT time and will go again ,where could we have gone and shot that mutch steel at 50yds as we did again as far as winning,Lance cost me the match

Curly that brings up a good point, if you weren't there then you don't know how the match was or wasn't!!!
Most of the griping I heard was from second day shooters that complained about only getting to shoot half the stages of the first day shooters. Well then you should have signed up for saturday, the stages were a lot of fun to shoot!!!! but reset killed most shooters and the amount of targets to be engaged hurt as well, simply because you needed to not miss in order to have enough ammo on you. if the match had been a 2 day match the issues would have not been a problem. If they had limited the entries to what they originally had wanted then there wouldn't have been issues also, but then you'd still hear griping because people that waited wouldn't be able to get in to the match to shoot either. No match, No match ever runs flawlessly, Fb3g couldn't get decent results done for the first 2 or 3 years, but it was still a great match. SMM3G, dropped a stage from the final results for the TI shooters and so we all dropped like 15 places in the finals, it is still a match I go to, HPSC had an RO change a start position for the regular competitors, it was to their advantage so all the RO's got worse scores than they should have, on that stage, but I still hold the match. Before anyone throws rocks at a major match's staff, or how issues are handled, hold one of your own, its easy to second guess and complain its better to enjoy the fact that someone decided to hold a match for you!!!
