Texas Shotgun Championship

I will be sending out notice this weekend to those that I have received money from. If you have sent in your money and do not receive an email by Monday check your spam and if still no confirmation please email me at [email protected]

Thanks and look forward to seeing a bunch of Oklahoma shooters down. Nice job on notre dame today also.

Received my first paid Oklahoma shooter when I got back from FB 3 Gun. I'll be sending out a confirmation later today and looking forward to more Oklahoma shooters coming down to Texas and having some fun.

Got to meet some of you in my squad at FB 3 Gun and it was a great time with a great group.

I am holding onto my app until my in-laws decide if they are coming to visit next month.

just got this email... bummer...

It is with regret that I am announcing the cancellation of the 2013 Texas Shotgun Championship. At this time participation is not at the level necessary to fulfill obligations to sponsors and I have no expectations that they will meet that level prior to November 2. I believe this is due to limited time between my announcement of the match and the scheduled match date and I take full responsibility. The sponsors I have spoken with to this point continue to support the concept of this match and new sponsors continue to respond to my original sponsorship requests (Mossberg contacted me Friday to donate a JM 930) and I am currently speaking with experienced match promoters and sponsors to work on a date for Spring or Summer 2014 to make this event a reality. I appreciate your support and welcome any and all feedback and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. No checks or money orders have been deposited and if you have sent in your payment I can at your discretion mail it back to you or shred your payment. If you have joined TSRA for the sole reason of participating in this match and do not desire to maintain your membership please contact me and I will resolve the issue. I would like to personally thank KNS Precision, AP Customs, Brownells, Mossberg and Beretta for their early support for this match and I plan supporting these companies and promoting their products in everyway possible in the future and hope you will join me. If you have any comments, suggestions or questions please let me know. Paul DeRidderTSRA Shotgun Director

Thanks for the heads up. How about rescheduling for November 4th, 2014?
I'd like to not wait that long and think that November has too many variables with weather, short days (that's right when daylight savings time ends usually), hunting season (Nov. 2 is beginning of TX deer season) and at the end of the shooting season when everyone's bank account is exhausted and vacation days are gone.

It's either that or compete with all the other established shotgun matches early in April & May and then there is 3 gun and USPSA. Summer is slow Late June and July.
