At my age and as many as I've owned(& own). I am a professional.
Oh, I'm serious. I think every gun owner should own one 1911.No offence taken. I like shooting everything &1911's doesn't suite everyone. But they happen to be one of my favorites. I've been shooting for a very long time, have my own range behind the house. Built Heavy shooting bench & picnic table on wheels so I could transport for Rifle and Pistol's.
I still have a g19 and a g17. I do carry the 19 a fair share of the time. The have both had the grip reduction done to them. I like the 17 better, but it's harder to conceal. Full size guns, I have IWB holster for 5" 1911, and HiPower. They conceal well. I'm just not comfortable carrying a Glock IWB. I know, just me, but Tight fitting pancake holster works pretty well as far as concealment goes. Just received my new IWB for the Commander, so I'll be trying that out real soon. Stay safe all.I'm looking forward to getting the Taylor 1911. Even though knowing Glocks are good pistols, I'm not a Glock fan. Owned two at one time a 43 & 19 Gen3. They just didn't feel good to me, & traded both off.
Only one????
Hey I can relate! Lol
The 1911 is very thin, the Glock is not. If you look at the 20,21,29 they are worse.I still have a g19 and a g17. I do carry the 19 a fair share of the time. Mine most carried is a satin nickel 442. Closely followed by the g19.As long as you carry something, I'm fine with it. My carry is either a Sig 365 or my Sig 1911 RCS. I think whatever you're comfortable with is a go.
Have you looked at a G43x or a G48?Mine most carried is a satin nickel 442. Closely followed by the g19.
Nope, 1911's been around for 110+ years and not much more to say about them anymore.don't you Glock lovers have a site you can visit ? LOL
I admit it, I'm an equal opportunity employer, lol.I have a couple of glocks, a 21 & a 22.. tried to get to like them, but didn't happen.
Feels like shooting a dart gun, with the twangy trigger. I will admit, I thought it was cool ,
that I could buy a Lone wolf conversion barrel ( 40-9mm) and a 9mm mag, then shoot 9mm from the 22.
Had my gunsmith rework the trigger on the 22, it helped, but still didn't / don't like it.
Mine are early versions..gen 2.0 or 2.5, not later versions. I've posted before & will admit I don't like polymer guns,..
only a few pistols with an aluminum frame that I do like.. I prefer REAL steel guns.( esp. SS when available)
for their "feel" & their recoil absorbing weight.
No sir I have not checked them out. To be totally honest, I'd prefer to carry a Hi Power, but some times the g19 is just easier for me.Have you looked at a G43x or a G48?
