Taurus 405 .40 S&W snubby revolver

This thing is fairly new. It takes moon clips and holds 5 rounds. Just curious if anybody has shot one? I'm thinking this moon clip snubby would be the cats meow for the Heartland Snubby State Championships. Plus I have a lot more .40 laying around than .38 special or .357 magnum.

A little chamfering of the cylinder mouths and that thing could be a "race gun" with moon clips....How's that gun feel in DA mode? The Tauri I've had were a little stiff in DA... but awesome light when shot SA... and got better with use and a little work

I'm no gun smith but surely it wouldn't be too hard to get a little trigger work done for competition. I wonder how much bite that little gun would be with full power .40? Heck what do I care? I'll load up some powder puff cowboy action loads and the sight will never move.
I might have to try to find one of these for the state championship snubby match. Lonnie D smoked us in the first one with his moon clip 9mm snubby.

Anybody know when that match is gonna be? Or has it already been?

At around 30 ounces.. that's a handfull. I'd shoot that thing a little and see if it likes you. Light handloads would probably be in order if you intend to shoot "fast"

I think those are built on the Taurus version of the "K frame"... and the big holes in the cylnder are limited to 5. But they don't weigh much.
