Talk me into (or out of ) something Low Mass BCG

Ok,

I have been running full weight BCG's since I started shooting an AR. I have been tossing around the idea of trying the adjustable gas block and Low Mass BCG set up. Will my big fat ass notice much in the way of "recoil impulse" by adding a Low Mass BCG? I run a Nordic barrel, JP silent capture spring and Miller Hammerhead on my Optics rifle. I will be running a light profile barrel with a SiCo Specwar brake on my irons/factory light weight project (I didn't call it a build, Mike!) Both rifles will be sporting the SLR Sentry gas blocks.

Is there an advantage I am not seeing with the set up I run now? Should I just keep it simple or start screwing with something that works and turn everything I run into a single shot?


I am looking at the VooDoo Low Mass Carrier as well as Rubber City Armory's offering.

Voodoo and Rubber city are like playing "just the tip". Get a rhino or go balls deep and get a Boomfab like an effin boss.

First time I shot a low mass gun was the first AR I had shot since being in the Army with the in oiled POS m16A2. I was like WTF??? It's the only way to go!

I run the JP but I like the Rhino as well

Rhino or Seekins are both good & comparably priced to the VooDoo.
Seekins will allow you to use your fwd assist, if that's important to you

I have an RCA bcg, rifle gas, JP buffer and spring. I still miss, but now I miss like a boss with just the tip in. Really can't say if all that improved anything or not. But I figured it couldn't hurt.
