Tactical Action Match at Heartland Feb 3rd

Thanks for the brownies Jeff, after scores come out I'm sure that will be the highlight of my night.

Thanks to David for putting on the match, I'd rather be shooting than superbowling :)

Word of this match has traveled far and wide, luring one of the Team Smith & Wesson shooters, last name Miculek, to come shoot with us.

Had a pretty good turnout with a few shooters sharpening up with their rifles in anticipation of the upcoming Two-Gun Tactical Championship February 17th. (run simultaneously with the Tactical Action Match)

Scores wiill be posted here in a day or two as I need to get them to Benjamin.

So apparently carry guns get really dry with your clothes and skin soaking up all the lube. I hadn't cleaned/lubed my CW9 in about 3 months and carry it daily. Had a couple failures to go into battery with it, but a little spritz of lube and she ran like a top. Lesson learned.

Better to find out here than when some thug is trying to steal your Ozarka water :D

Which is one of many reasons it's important to shoot your actual carrygun at a match! Good for you!

I I could pony up the cash for spare mags I would love to shoot my cw9, I shot the last one I had at several of the heartland matches and loved it!

It will be interesting to see the scores, I think I shot better in the 2 stages, after I lost the fibre-optic in my front site, then I did in the 2 when I had it. :)
Strange feeling, 3 shots on target one, pulling the gun back on target to 1st knock down and my brain screaming wheres my front site? WHERE'S MY FRONT SITE? then realizing I am looking at a .010 white dot surrounded by a black circle, between my rear sites. I yelled, i lost my fibre optic. I hear 4 or 5 people start laughing.
It was a fun match!
Thank You David for putting on the match, and Wes and Burk and Rick and Mack for RO'ing our squad.
Thank you Heartland Outdoors for hosting us!

I might just take you up on that offer to use your mags. I really enjoyed shooting the cw9. If I was just dumb I would buy the mags for my diamond back db9 and shoot that. It is a rough little rider though. lol
I'd probably wear gloves.

No, Benjamin is out of town today. I'll drop the sheets off at his house, so maybe he can get them up tomorrow.
