This could be posted in both Kansas and Missouri since this is just outside the Kansas City metro!
Covert Dynamics is please to announce (after trying to get this rolling for over a year) the Tac-5 Challenge on March 14, 2015. This will be a 5 stage competition that combines functional fitness requirements into a shooting competition. Sponsored by 5.11 Tactical, the Tac-5 Challenge will offer a unique challenge for the competitive shooter, tactical athlete, and average joe alike. Both the fitness movements and shooting have been designed to be inclusive to the average person, nothing crazy there.
Competitors only need a handgun (9mm min), three magazines, and 100 rounds of ammunition. There will be one rifle stage with stage rifles provided by a major manufacturer (waiting for the OK to say who).
Two division winners recognized: Open (as in everyone who wants, not open as in gun division) and MIL/LE with one overall event winner being crowned. The rest of the prize table will be random. This is our first crack at an event like this so it will be limited to only 50 competitors. Time plus scoring with stage points.
