Although the left has spent decades telling Americans things like "an AR-15 is not for hunting," a Winchester Ammunition survey reported by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) shows 60 percent of centerfire rifle hunters use AR/AK-platform rifles on their hunts.

Who would have thought.
We used the Mini 30 platform in a Butler Creek Folder with Iron sights, for Deer here in the Mountain thickets.
Hand load for the M43, Sierra .308 135gr Single shot SP at 1950 fps.

You need 2 hands to climb, so a tight package is critical.
It was light, sat folded in the middle of your back just perfect for a hole shot at Deer who lived deep in the weeds.
Yes I can see how the AR would be very popular, now the AK boat anchor, well not so much.
