Suppressor Question

I have a suppressor (YHM Titanium Q.D. Phantom) which the stamp should be here sometime in March (fingers crossed). It is for my LMT 5.56 rifle. My plan is to purchase a Noveske 10.5" barrel with my LEO discount to shorten up the length with the can on it. Is there any 5.56 or .223 factory ammo out there that will allow even quieter operation? I figured the simple nature of the 5.56/.223 round won't allow for a more silent report but I thought I would ask.

You would have to go subsonic and I doubt that the 5.56 would fragment. Is it a 5.56 can or .30? You could toy with loading heavy bullets, but if you reduce the powder charge too much it won't cycle. If a .30, build a 300blk upper.

Also a TON of bad reviews and it appears to be discontinued by the manufacturer. It doesn't look like a good option. Like I said earlier, if you reload and want to experiment, pick up some heavy bullets and start working on a load.

If you wanted super quiet .223 is a mistake... The difference between supressed and unsupressed .223 in a 10.5" gun is amazing though. Jake runs a .308 can on his .223 SBR and it's easily the quietest setup that I've ever seen...

A 9mm supressed AR is easier the make quiet...

This rifle will be an SBR when I add the 10.5" barrerl to it and I know the shorter barrel makes it louder. I was just curious. Rusty, I shot your 9mm and loved it!!

Correct me if i'm wrong here, but if he goes to a 10.5 barrel the suppresor will have to be pined or welded to be permanent or re-register the lower as a SBR and pay the tax. Right?

Yup and that is why I have the paperwork ready to send off to register my lower.
