I'm shooting limited minor and was hopin y'all could give me some recommendations on how to load my rounds. I have a Gen 4 Glock 34, will be stepping up to my Gen 4 Glock 35 soon.

Currently have 115g plated extreme bullets
Tight group 4.4 grains
CCI primers

Does this sound ok? I'm trying to get everything tweaked. Had some issues over the weekend and ended up taking the double recoil stock spring out today and put in a zev guide rod and lighter spring--ran a couple hundred rounds through it no issues! Guess my loads were too light for the stock spring. Not sure but she's fine now lol!!

Any suggestions or just let me know what works for you so I can try and see if maybe that's a better combination for me!

Thanks :)
Guys from BS were awesome this weekend at the OKCGC match and I forgot most of what they told me haha!

I have always felt 115gr loads were just too "snappy" in my G34. I run 147gr and 160gr bullets because I like the recoil impulse better.

Do you have extensions in your mags? In 9mm limited minor the 140mm mag will hold 23 + 1

Sounds good. Just spend money on bullets, powder, and primers. Don't get all ****ed up by constantly reassessing your gear. It's an expensive trap. Glad you had a good time at the match.

+1 on the heavier bullets for minor. I prefer 147's but many a production GM shoots 124's. I also prefer N320 or WST to titegroup. A little cleaner burning in my experience. I also shoot moly coated lead to save a few bucks over plated/jacketed and get similar performance. My load for minor in a 5" M&P pro is 3.5gr of WST under a J&K moly 147 loaded to 1.135 with a Federal SRP generating the spark. Almost like cheating.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate your advice!! I have some of the N320 that I can try and will pick up some WST & heavier bullets! Probably will just pick up a Chrono for myself as well :)

This is my exact load except for I load 3.6 grains of WST and use a SPP primer of whatever brand I can get my hands on except for Wolf, my 9Pro won't reliably light them.

And there's no reason in the world to NOT run lead at these velocities EXCEPT for the mess and smoke, those are legit because the grunge and lube buildup in your dies gets old quick. But the price sure is nice. BBI, Bayou, etc. is far far better than plain lead and J&K is running some coated bullets too so you might hit him up. I'll also second avoiding Titegroup with anything but plated or jacketed.

I used to shoot 147gr lead over 3.2gr of Bullseye. Many people underestimate how useful it can be to blind the RO with a smokescreen.

I ordered some bayou bullets today, going to try them out (147g & 160). Will pick up some WST this weekend in Tulsa hopefully. I really appreciate the advice and everything has been very helpful!!

Blinding the RO hilarious...............unless your the RO :sarcastichand:

If you need a pound or two of WST to try it, let me know. Will be shooting h&h Sunday evening and can bring you some.

Awesome Mike, can you go ahead and bring me a pound just in case I don't get any in Tulsa? I will be at the H&H match Sunday.....my first time there

You got it. I can also bring you some of the loaded rounds in question if you want to try them out.
can you bring me about 180-200 of them to ponca to try out?

Yah. Just wait for me.

Chances are you will forget the little things that hold rounds and go in your gun.
yeah, can you bring mags too......just in case

I use extreme 124's...4.0 grains of titegroup at 1.125 in a g-17 with a 13lb spring and making minor pf last time I checked
