Stupidest thing an "Expert" has ever told you.

Today I was telling a guy who I was trading large quantities of ammo with that if you don't shoot full house loads out of the Deag, it will short-cycle and the bolt won't go into battery. He said, "I know what that is. It's a link problem. I had it happen in my 1911. You just need to get a new link fitted." :-[ :72:

The Deag is gas-operated, and ALMOST an upside-down AK in it's simplicity.

About two weeks ago...Walmart (around I35 @ 15th, Edmond)

Guy walks in asking for .22 Long rifle. He wants the "lead free" ones. Of course the Wal mart guy is baffled. So the customer leans over the counter and points out the .25ACP box. "I prefer centerfire", says.

Of course- (this is like watching a train wreck, I know better) I pitch in the fact that "Oklahoma has not banned lead- that's a California thing" and "the only "centerfire .22" on his shelf is -maybe-those .223 rifle cartridges....every bit of those .22's back there are rimfire...."

So the guy points at a 50 round box of CCI long rifle...After all, "(a 500 round loose pack) is too much and I don't want to pay that much for .22"

Maybe the libtards are right- some folks need a gun licence.

I guess Basalt and Rhyolite sound like Balsamic Vineger to a "Austin" firefighter...you know the ones that wear the "pink bunker gear" and celebrate Eeorr's birthday.

Best one I have heard today was that you really don't need a "C" clip to hold jets in a Rock bit cause the pressure off the rock you are drilling in will hold the jets inplace ......we are now tripping for a "loss of pressure" right after we got back on bottom. I only mention this cause I saw 3 "C" clips laying on the knowledge box after we replaced the bit and tripped in last night. Know anyone that needs a new driller, cause we seem to have one that now needs a job!

That's where they F'ed up. The good drill bits dont use c clips they use screw in retainers. Go Green or are they blue now?

NO no no Jesse you want C clips that way, when you try to "reverse out" they won't come unscrewed on ya....but that is another really funny story, but no "expert" involved.

Just the other day, I called a local gunsmith about doing a trigger job on an m&p. I'm used to people saying "no" on it for liability reasons, but as soon as I asked he barks right back "Can't be done". Not wanting to argue with him I said "ok", he then explained that "that's why he doesn't sell them, you can't do anything on them. You get what you get". Still not wanting to argue or name drop the few people that do m&p trigger jobs I just rolled my eyes and said "ok". Some "Expert".

One stop shop. Only pistol gun smith ive ever needed. Mike Cyrus of Accurate Iron
