slide should be in the 11-12 oz range. Lighter and it can open prematurely and round off the lugs on barrel and slide. Have seen this on a lot of race guns.Also light springs will let a lightened slide open to soon

an 11#; but since is still in there, its probably a 4# by now

Maybe if whoever owned it shot very much. But since I don't, it's probably still a solid 9#.
