Once the snow melts off and the weather warms up a bit, I am wanting to put together a small personal shooting range down at our farm (in a canyon with a nice natural backstop). I am wanting to mostly use steel targets simply because I like the auditory and visual feedback that comes with shooting steel. Plus, after each round of shooting I can just paint over them and they are good as new.

Who sells steel targets at a reasonable price around OKC? I work by a fabricator and have thought about stopping in and seeing what he could make me some for, but I don't know anything about steel thickness. We will mostly be using these targets for handgun shooting (9mm, .38, and .45) but I would also like the option to be able to shoot them with the .223 from a distance if possible. If not, that's fine, I can still with cardboard for those.

So where do y'all get your steel targets from? What is a reasonable price?

I got mine from Big Dog Steel. Here's the thread I found him in http://snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=117570&Number=1285308#Post1285308 Here is his website http://www.bigdogsteel.com/ There is another guy that I have heard a lot of good things about that is in Weatherford, TX(shipping may be a little cheaper) Outback welding http://www.obw.co/targets.htm

MGM usually shipes for free if you order a few hundred $'s which is one target in most cases.

I think OKC gun club action section gets that big place down there on Reno to cut theirs. I think you might be able to buy it directly from them with the templates that OKCGC uses. You might email John Bent or call the steel place. I can't remember the name of that place. I want to say S&S but google doesn't agree with that.
