Steel challenge at Ponca city range

Didn't say in the email I got. 200 rounds will be more than enough.
Most use .22 rimfire, but on occasion some will use CF pistols.

Similar to the match you shot before, but these targets don't fall. You just have to "ring" them with a hit. It's speed vs the timer. 5 mags at each stage. If you don't have 5 mags, no biggie, somebody will loan some or be your loader. You'll need a bag or pistol rug for the pistol. I'll throw another in the car if you don't have one.

5 mags even if we're shooting centerfire?
Each stage is 5 strings of 5. No reqired mag changes, only change if you need to. For CF, I'd take at least 3 mags. Approx. 2-3 strings per mag + an oh elephant dung mag. It sucks loading mags between strings because it takes too long. Like Dennis said, if your lucky, you can have someone help you by loading your empty mag while your shooting a string.

You won't needed pouches. All shooting is done from one position per stage. There will be a place to lay your mags.

The RO will have you make ready, you'll load a mag, chamber the first round, and start from the low-ready position. Typically there will be a small flag 12 ft in front of the shooter. Start there until you get the beep from the timer, and engage the targets.
After the first shooter you will know all you need to know.

I have 3 or 4 mags, just not quite enough mag pouches.
You won't need all mags on you at once.
1 in the gun & 1 or 2 on you max in case of an oh elephant dung.
You can swap the empty mags for full ones between strings.

For those that are just starting & don't have enough mags, no biggie, there are folks that will be willing to help you out. For those that are continuing to shoot these matches, get the equipt. (gradually if you have to) so you can help the next new guy.

I've got 3 mags so I shoud be okay for now. Ill reload yours if you reload mine Taymoor haha

CF will start with pistol holstered and hands in the surrender position.

There will be a plate designated as the stop plate, you must hit this plate to stop your time.

Say you hit the stop plate before you hit one of the other plates, usually a 3 second penalty is added.

If you never hit the stop plate a 30 second penalty is added.

Sometimes it can be hard to hear the "ring" if you hit close to the bolt that is centered in the circle plates. It is nice to have a friend call "hits" while you are shooting.
