guys all i need is a 762x39 enhanced bolt. enhanced means it comess with a stouter firing pin, i think.

yes that is a QD mount.

An enhance bolt means they did one of 2 things. They either machined about .003"-.007" off the shoulder of the firing pin or off the bolt. I would prefer the pin that way I can always use the bolt on another rifle. My understanding is that the bolts are the same. The enhancement is because the cheap russian ammo needs a little more of a punch on the primer.

do you mean the carrier is the same? yes they are. the bolts are different cause the 762 base is bigger.

BTW i need mags too. i wonder if i can cut the top off an AR mag and weld it to the bottom curved part of an AK mag.

There are a couple of mag manufacturers that do the cut and past.

I ordered some 6.5Grendel mags from them, they arrived today. I'll post and let you know if they suck or not.

well, here is a BIG plus at least one for Paco. thanks to him and other forum members i have a functioning 762x39 upper. its a real blast to shoot.

we met at Philsons and he sold me the 762x39 bolt i needed to finish my upper.still dont have mags but he lent me a grendel mag. we were putting 10 rds in it and dumping them real fast. it may hold more.

lots of people shooting. we got there before 10 , shot a trunk full of bullets and didnt leave till almost 2.

Also figured out why Tigerstripes's 5.56 upper was short stroking.

My Sabre Defense 10.5" ran like a champ on his m16.
Next time I will remember my .30cal suppressor

Mine said that too for the 6.5grendel magazines. They showed up 4 days later.
But that may have been because they were 6.5g magazines.

I think an AR in 5.45 Russian would be cool too. All of those Russian calibers were (and hopefully will be again) super cheap.
