New to 3 gun and have a question. When we can start with 8+1 only. Do you load your tube up with the other 2 after buzzer then shoot? Or just run it down and then reload tube? Thanks, trying to figure this out.

some rule sets don't allow it, but when they do I'll drop in a couple at the buzzer.

If allowed, at the buzzer. In USPSA, they do allow it with the latest rules but you can't hold the ammo in your hands at the start of the buzzer.

Depends on the stage. If there are targets to shoot I'm shooting not loading. If the targets are a few steps away from the start position I'm loading then shooting.

That's a tasty little tip!

Like Jesse said, if you load first and then miss a shot or two then you are reloading twice. Try to only load on the move, sometimes that doesn't work ether.

I agree with Jeff, if I am moving, I'm loading unless I have more than enough loaded for the stage. The rules say you can load more after the buzzer as long as they are not in your hand at the start. This past weekend at the tar heel match we had a long run from one stage to the adjacent stage where the shotgun was staged. After dropping the rifle in the barrel, I sprinted to the adjacent cof while grabbing another shell off my caddy. Loaded it while picking up the rifle. Don't know that it helped but it seemed to be a good idea as there were LOTS of targets.
