Am I the only Ruger 1911 owner out there? I have not own it long but impressed with it so far. Much better than the one I was issued in Korea in the seventies!

I have one. Don't shoot it a lot but there is nothing wrong with them. If they make you happy that is all which matters.

No, you are not. I have 3..... Fullsize 1911, LW Commander and regular Commander. All in 45 ACP. The LW Commander and fullsize 1911 both shoot very well. I just bought the Commander today, so haven't had the chance to take it out.

I bought the 5” several years ago as soon as it was introduced. Then I bought the steel commander a little while later, then the Lightweight Commander, followed by the Lightweight Commander in 9mm. I’m hoping tomorrow to find the Ruger 9mm Officers Model. Guess you could call me a fan!

I did a review on the SR1911 a few years back. Got a few views on a couple of forums.
