Who's been and who has scored?
I went out opening morning, set up 150 yds away from a roost tree that I had watched them fly up into the night before on public ground.
Right before fly down time, some guys came running by I got their attention by flashing a light and told them I was on this roost already. They basically told me to get ****ed, and went on.
Great sportsmanship on their part.
Been a couple of times since, but the toms won't get away from the hens.
Fast forward two weeks, some of the toms are cruising on their own which makes it a whole lot easier to call them in. I'll get out later this week and give it another try.
In the mean time, our yard birds keep us entertained every evening.
Reminds me of Saturday night at the bar when a hot chick or two comes in the door.
