My friends I have given this a lot of thought and I have thought I would ask all of you to help. I have been researching something at great length and while I have found some things. I know many heads are better than one. So if you feel disposed to do so I would appreciate your assistance when you are not busy. You can email or PM when it is easy for you to do so what what you find if you have any spare time. Here is my problem. My wife is very ill she has breast cancer that metastasized into the bone in 2009 one thing we have run into is that my insurance will not pay for certain medications that her doctor's said she needs for her cancer because she had a gastric bypass in 2004 before she had cancer. Her medicare also refuses to pay for these medications. What these medications are , are IV vitamins. They cost $80 a bag. As you might guess it can get quite costly. I am researching a way to get a grant or something to get these IV vitamins paid for because we definitely see a huge difference in how she is doing when she is on the vitamins and she is not. So if you run across something please send it to my attention and I will get on it immediately. Thank you so much for your help.

Thank you I will look into it, we just know we appealed both our insurance and medicare both rejected the appeal. So I have been looking for something else. I will read up on this .

How many bags a day or week does she need?
I don't know if you're a memberof a church or not, but many churches have assistance like what you are looking for. Maybe even a church wide if it's a small church or small group/Sunday School collection could set you up financially for a while. You may look into the church or local nonprofit organizations that can help with bills in your type of situation. I know there was a group I heard about on the radio a year or so back that was paying utility bills for cancer patients that needed financial assistance. I don't recall the name though. Something like that may free up some cash for you to buy the IV vitamins. Think outside the box. If the government has a program to help there is probably a nonprofit doing it better and more effectively. I and my family have been blessed more than once in tough times by our church family. If your not a member of a good church now may be the right time to start looking. Good luck and God bless.

Look to the companies that make these medications. Most have some sort of program to help when insurance won't. As a Husker to a Sooner, God bless you and I hope everything works out. Guy

I don't know if I can help, but my wife is a nurse. I will ask her if she knows how to go about this. My prayers are sent for her and you.
