Sorting .223 Brass

How many of you do it?

In the past, I always just loaded way back in the middle of the listed load range, and haven't had issues. But I've tried working up to a little hotter load (still .5gr off max), and was noticing inconsistent pressure signs.

Just getting ready to start processing a new batch of 1x fired brass, and don't want to have to process it twice.

I only sort .223 brass for length. I don't have the case length number in front of me at the moment, but when running the brass through the sizer, there will be some that are short. Most of those seem to be European imported stuff.
I have read that there is a little difference in case capacity with .223 vs 5.56, But I'm not seeing any pressure issues using Varget.
