I clicked submit after putting my address in and it took me back to the cart saying the requested amount wasn't available. The damn thing went out of stock as I was trying to order my first AR. :evil:

The search continues I guess...

Where are you in SC?

If you're within an hour of Columbia, I'd call BOTH stores and ask what they have in stock. It'll be worth your while when it comes to shipping. Even if you drive 4 hours round trip, you won't have to wait WEEKS for shipping, which is what I understand is a huge problem with PSA web sales. And right now, I am sure they are backlogged because of obvious reasons.

I'm in Florence, so Columbia isn't that far. I'm sure it would be better to drive, but the website said it was an online deal only. I'll call them Friday and see about making a trip Saturday if they have a gun I want.

I tried to price out the gun if I were to build it, and I don't think I could put one together for that price.

Hit walmart for a colt 6920 for 1090$

Just a thought, If you wait till thanksgiving they did a really good deal last year. I got a 16" complete flat top upper 1 to 7 twist, a stripped lower and a complete lower kit for $550. Bought a rear mbus and a red dot for $180. Total $730.

You can get a regular Bravo Company USA M4 for right around $1000. That is top shelf.

The original price is $999. I sent them an e-mail complaining about it going up in price as I was trying to buy it, we'll see if that brings anything.

Not a bad idea. I'll probably wait a bit and see what prices are out there. I'm also going to check some local pawn shops here in Florence to see what they have.

I looked at their website, but there isn't a price on a complete rifle. Do you have to call or are they only sold through other retailers?

I'd give them a call and ask where they recommend buying. Bravo Company is known for great customer service along with being a top shelf quality brand. I know CheaperThanDirt.com carries their stuff but I don't know how regularly they stock.

What do you guys think of DPMS? There's a rifle for sale on Carolina Shooters Club that is set up the way I want it for $985. It's a couple hundred dollars more than I wanted to pay, but if it's that much better than PSA I might try and pick that up.

Live in Florence, SC. The driving really isn't an added cost, the wife and I take the mustang out on the weekends for a few hour drive often enough that it's just something we do for fun, and there are some fun roads between Florence and Charlotte.

Honestly, I think I'll just wait until the rifle I want goes on sale at PSA. Then I'll either just buy it online and deal with shipping or head over there one weekend and see what kind of deal I can get.

If you're going to spend that much money on an AR you can do a lot better than DPMS.

I'd take a PSA rifle over a DPMS. Who said DPMS rifles were better?

For $1000, I'd be buying a BCM or building my own rifle with a variety of parts, like Rainier Arms.

I said, "if it's that much better." Nobody told me that DPMS was better than PSA, I was just asking.

I really like this rifle too, but they aren't taking orders right now... and it's a lot more than I want to spend, but that is the rifle I would really like someday.
