Anyone have or recommend a smooth side AR bolt carrier, no FA notches?

The notches on the side are for the forward assist button that you jam forward on the right side, its so you can press it several times depending how far back it is. The larger thumb-sized indent on the side is also a forward assist meant for your finger; they did that for "lower-end" ARs so they could make them without the bump-button and still retain a forward-assist. That design stuck for a lot of the newer ones. Two options forward assist is better than 1... I'm not sure what you mean by full-auto grooves. Full-auto is controlled from the bottom of it depending on the mechanism.
