Got my ctr-02 in and have fired 300 rounds through it and in that time I have had 5 slam fires. I have checked the primers and they are set properly. I have had it happen on reloads and factory ammo. I'm currently using cci 400 primers since the 41's are impossible to find. Also I need to know if you have a slam fire is that a match DQ. I'm shooting in the texas multigun this month and need to get this corrected ASAP. Thanks

clean your BCG completely & check your disconnector/hammer engagement.

If everything's good with those, try adjusting the trigger.
You may have too much pre-travel taken out, causing too little sear engagement.

Slam fires won't necessarily get you DQ'd if the MD/RM knows what's going on. I wouldn't chance it though. Get that trigger looked at.

I'd go with Tony's suggestions. I'd suspect too little sear engagement is the issue. Too little sear engagement can cause it to disengage when bumped and such and certainly the bolt slamming home would create enough force to cause it to do that.

I don't know if the CTR-02 comes with a Ti firing pin or not, I've heard Kurt say on multiple occasions that a standard weight firing pin with a lightened carrier can cause slamfires. Curly was having that problem at an RNT class a couple of years ago. Probably want to give that a look as well.

I run titanium firing pins based in Kurt's advice and because Ti is super cool.

Heck maybe your firing pin is too long???
