I don't use the frame weights. But I do have a Zev heavy brass magwell with large brass insert, and a tungsten guide rod on my Glock.

I've not messed around with heavy magwells on plastic guns, but it seems to me they put the weight in the wrong place. I do have one on my open gun, but there's no muzzle rise I'm trying to offset.

I think for the plastic guns, the frame weight would be much more effective in eliminating muzzle rise than a heavy magwell.

I picked up the Zev brass magwell more for the way it felt in my hand than for the weight. Mine is also an open gun, so muzzle rise isn't a huge issue.

the further from the point of rotation, the better the effect. both magwell and dustcover have some distance from there

And I thought about just going with Bob Vogel's technique of filling in an old weapon light as a frame weight. Would make it easier to find holsters to accommodate if I used an old Streamlight body.

A fleshlight out front really keeps the tip down!

No, it keeps the tip up for a little bit. After a while, the tip starts to go down, though. I thought about doing some metaphor comparing shooting to ejaculating, but with this group, I think that's completely unnecessary. You guys got it.
