5.3 inch high for 55 gr FMJ-BT at 3000 fps with 2.3 inch bore/sight offset, so you may be right in there depending on what it is you're shooting.

Sorry I meant 2.75".
1.5" from the center of the mount to the rail
1.25" from the rail to the center of the bore

You're should be 2.68

1.435 for the mount to rail and 1.253 for the rail to bore.

When I sight in a new rifle/optic, I get to about 3" below POA @ 25, then fine tune at 100. I'm usually pretty close.

I just crank the windage and elevation as far clockwise as it'll go, set up at 300 yards, and fire one round per click until I hit something.

I bore sight it @ 25 yards to ~ 2" above the bore sight laser dot. Then shoot 1 round from my sled at 100 yards. I then aim and bag the gun back on the the target centerline. From there I carefully adjust the scope so the crosshairs or dot match the point of impact on the last shot. Fire a second round to confirm. Once confirmed I move to a different area on the target to fire a 3-5 shot group. Then make adjustments as needed to center that group to point of aim.

Using Strelok Pro ( Highly recommended) Black Hills 77 grain SMK should 6.17 high at 100 yards with a 25 yard zero. It equates to approximately a 356 yard

After you fine tune it at 100yds, where are you hitting at 25?

Yes. It has both bullet and load data. It has a very good cartridge catalog to select from and you can true it based on your velocity

Jesus christ, you need to practice. Call it 2-1/4". You gotta run some head shot drills. Point blank hit the head A box by aiming over the head. You will need to learn what that looks like through your scope. You can do it, padawan. May the force be with you.
