BIG let down! After 11 month's my stamp finally show's up, then another month, as the gun store "lost" the 9mm piston I purchased with the can, I get it home. Ready to try it out, I have two pistols and a PC carbine to attach it two,so the Glock 19/4 first....won't cycle! Next, I try my CZ P10c, thread it up, bang,,NO cycle. I tried many different types of ammunition, sub's, fmj's, hollow points, different weights, etc. They won't cycle, period. I didn't even try the carbine, figured that was just a waste of more time. Any ideas?? Should both guns require spring changes? I have other cans, 5.56 and rim fires never had problems. This is the first "serious" pistol caliber, so, what am I missing? I'm sure somebody out there has tried this combo before, I mean, Glocks are everywhere

doesn't look like anyone has an answer, I don't either ( never used a suppressor ) BUT.....
it's a .45 cal suppressor and needs the piston to be converted to 9mm. since you don't have the piston, thats probably why it doesnt work on a 9mm.

, yes. Basically you need a 9mm can or more specifically a 9mm piston.Do you have the adapter (piston) on your can?
You should try it on the PCC. That has a stationery barrel. It should not effect the operation of the carbine.
Hand guns that require the barrel to move back to unlock won't move against the weight of the suppressor.

What brand is that can? I can't tell from the picture. In any case you'll need some type of adapter ( often called a booster) for a movable barrel pistol to operate the gun. You may have the fixed barrel barrel adapter on the can in that case it wouldn't ever work on guns like a Glock, CZ, Sig, etc. will on a Beretta. Try it on the carbine.

Great Info Murphy
It's a Sig SRD45 can.
I only knew my answer because i went to the sig site and it says you need the piston to convert it from 45 cal to 9mm.
in order for it to work.

It has the Sig 9mm piston installed. I have been in contact with Sig, still no real answer. I'm going to drop the recoil spring weight on the Glock to 12 or 13 pounds to see if that works. It works like a champ on my Ruger PC Carbine, for a rifle, you remove the piston spring and install a fixed bbl spacer in it's place.
I have asked Sig about the possibility of lightening the piston spring, as that was designed to work with .45 so not sure if that is something to try or not.
The 9mm piston also converts the can to a half/28 thread for the handguns, so it wouldn't even attach with the supplied .45 pistons. I actually had the PC Carbine in mind when I ordered it last year, so it will probably live on the rifle. The pistols were pretty much for target shooting.
If I get it to function, I will update. Thanks for the inpup.

sounds like the spring device, required for recoil action is the problem.

never knew sig was so slow. have they told you anything yet?

The guy said they would look into it more. I'm really thinking the spring in the piston, as the gun doesn't even act like it wants to cycle, but as I said earlier, remove the spring and put the fixed barrel spacer in and mount it on the PC9 carbine, works like a champ, with acceptable sound levels. I'm thinking dedicated 9mm can down the road. Another would make 5 and I really hate to give them another $200
