I'll start:

My stainless Springfield GI model..... well, it used to be GI.
I installed a Cylinder & Slide 4.5# trigger pull kit and a S&A beavertail then I had it sandblasted. Mikey Cyrwus installed the sights and thumb safety and then guncoated all the black parts for me.
It's far from finished, but I'm happy with it so far.

Mine started as mil spec Springfield 9mm. Mike fit the bevertail safety, Dove tail front sight coated the lower. Toothman did the bomar rear sight. Stan did the slide coating. I put all Nowlin Parts in it.

I'm not real familiar with Detonics. Why is the rear sight so far forward?

Here's some info & history on the Detonics: http://www.biggerhammer.net/detonics/

The back portion of the slide is sloped. My understanding was this facilitated concealment, particularly on the draw. The rear sight is at the apex of this slope.
