Should I trade?

I'm possibly thinking about trading a Glock 23 Gen.4 for a Glock 35 (either a Gen.3 or Gen.4). Should I trade? I like my Glock 23 but I really want a Glock 35 for competitions. I want to keep my Glock 23 though for when I get older and use it for concealed carry.

For the Glock 23 I have all the backstraps, 3 magazines, the case it came in, all the manuals, lock (but who really needs that?). Some please help me if I should trade or not. If I trade though I just don't want to regret it.

I'm not offering a trade, I'm just wondering if I should trade my Glock 23 Gen.4 for a Glock 35 (either Gen.3 or Gen.4).

I would dump that little gun and get the G35. By the time you can legally carry they will be on gen 5 or 6 and you will have plenty if prize money from all your wins with your G35 to buy a new 23.

I'd keep your G23 and shoot it in matches for a while. If you begin to feel that the pistol is limiting your performance instead of your skill set limiting your performance then you might think about trading. I'm sure somebody would let you shoot their G35 at a match. I would if you ever run into me at a match.

I like my 23 but something just doesn't feel right to me about it though. I shot it a match yester day and I did ok but I could of had done better. Plus I kinda keep pinching my hand I reload w/ due to the magazine well. I held a 35 and it felt like it was glued to my hands, I really didn't want to put it down but I had to or else my dad would of had to buy it for me :P

I'm not sure what to do. I like the long sight radius on the 35, I love the full size grip and everything. Plus I really don't feel like saving up around $600, that would take me forever to save up!

You started two threads that were identical. I merged them into one. Carry one. And trade that 23 for the 35. Nobody shoots matches with a 23. Plus the 35 is worth $50-150 more than the 23.
Alright I got it now! I have no idea though how I had started two threads that where identical? I'll probably trade the 23 for a 35 if I can even find anyone that would want to trade! My dad says there aren't many people that wants to trade a Glock 35.

Do you think you might know of anyone that has a Glock 35 that's barely been used w/ 3 magazines that would wanna trade?

You should probably put it in the classifieds section and see if you get any hits on it. You're much more likely to have success there.

From what I've picked up, you'd have to have your dad handle the transaction. I couldn't trade pistols with somebody who can't legally own one. Trading with your dad would be legal. I'd also be careful about calling the pistol yours.

I thought u already had a trade lined up. I doubt anyone would make that trade. Glock 35's ate kinda specialized guns for competition. My new advice would be to sell your G23 for $400-450 and save $150 to get a G35.

BoomerShooter will be doing a gen 4 Glock 34 giveaway in the near future. Stay tuned...

Yah, I know that. But some people make comments like "Oklahoma doesn't have a registration or whatever on guns.". And I'm thinking well what is it called then? But I mean the handguns are under my dad's name/registration, their're just given to me.

Nah, no trade hasn't been up yet. But I mean the gun has already been used and if I where to sell it I'd probably get less than $400. I know though if I where to win a GSSF match I could get any Glock I'd want for free (Besides a Glock 18 since I don't have any form of a Class 3 license). Plus I don't have any holster for a G35, so that means I'd have to save up around $300 since I really want me a CR Speed WSM 2 holster along with the belt and around 3 mag pouches.

But when will you be able to get back to me about the PM I had sent you?

You cannot legally OWN a handgun in OK until you reach 18 years of age, nor can you buy, sell, transport, or trade one. When you get to be 16 and can drive, you still can't legally have a handgun in the car with you driving alone.
Until then, your Dad legally owns the handguns that you use under his supervision, and transports them for you..
What a GREAT DAD, huh!! I think you should recognize that, and thank him.
When you reach 18, then you can legally own, transport, and use handguns on your own.
