Esplain Please. Leupold VX-1 1-4x20 shotgun scope has same specs as their 1-4x20 rifle scope. So what's the diff? I read folks mounting the VX-1 on their AR with good results. Any thoughts?

Thats been my thinking. The manufacturers offer MZ scopes, shotgun scopes, etc.
I've had standard rifle scopes on my all of my rifles, pistols, and air rifle, and never had a problem.

The shotgun scope is preset parallax at 75 yards and the rifle scope 100. Will this effect the 300 yd shots if I use the shotgun scope on my AR?
