Anyone have experience shipping pallet sized things or bigger?I have a very large quantity of things to ship, but don't know the best way to go about it. I figure there is a better way than UPS, but I have no idea.

May want to check out Greyhound. If where your shipping it to has a Greyhound station, it's cheap to put it on one of their buses and ship it that way.

we use beaver and saia at work... fedex is expensive as hell

Don't know if it will help but I've shipped motorcycles using Forward Air. They used to be very reasonable, but it's been awhile. By reasonable I mean the pricing was about the same as ground and it took about 2 days to go from one coast to the other...
