Need to ship from an FFL but it needs to an FFL. include a copy of the receiving FFL license and a copy of your drivers license in the box. You'll have to have a driver pickup or drop it off at the FedEx or ups gun to ship. The strip mall shipping centers or FedEx kinkos won't take firearms. Use whichever carrier you like/trust as they both screw elephant dung up regularly.

Our regular FedEx driver was out for a day with a sick kid and the backup driver delivered 5,000 rounds of $1300 9mm to the wrong address and nobody can find it.

What are you doing with the gun? You can overnight a firearm to a gunsmith without going through an FFL on your end. They can then overnight it directly back to you. Did this with my Glock when I had work done to it. Has to be overnight though, which can be expensive.

I have done that before also, but this gun is being transferred to someone else so I knew it had to go to there ffl I just didn't know if I had to ship from one.

An FFL can ship a handgun by mail. Did a trade with a guy and got his (from my FFL). The damn box was marked $30.30 postage.

I have to go Fed-Ex or UPS (can't do mail) and overnight. $100+ Such bullshit...

Dealer to Dealer can go by USPS, They will not accept a handgun from an individual.
Individual can only ship a handgun to a dealer & Fedex/UPS will want you to ship it overnight.

Yeah I don't ship pistols anymore. Heck it's cheaper to get your own FFL.

Use "ship my gun", part of Buds. I've shipped two pistols for just under $50 each including insurance.

Either they've changed their service or their website flat doesn't work. Been trying for an hour to ship a gun and it thinks I'm shipping it to myself. When I update the shipping address to be correct doesn't give a way to proceed. The FFL is in there and his address and info are all correct.

Should just select the FFL that it is going to and then infill the "who is receiving firearm" section.

Just ran a test and it worked for me.

One thing it may be is that the FFL I'm having to use isn't a "preferred ffl" so that may have something to do with it, even though he pops up in their list and is shown correctly at the top as the receiving FFL. As it stands now I have no way to complete the checkout process. I've tried it in Chrome and Safari so I think it's something on their end.

Na, I've shipped to a non preferred, they just contact the FFL prior to processing the shipping label.

Let me run through this and see if it helps.

1. Select long or hand gun
2. Select box size, weight, and insurance as needed.
3. Select FFL (I used Arrow Pawn in Tulsa as an example)
4. Select where the shipment is originating and that you're the lawful owner.
5. Input who the package is going to (IE FFL Dealer Name - Let's say Joe)
6. Input who the gun is for (ie I'm the buyer - Scott) Input my email ([email protected]) Label Reference - whatever - "Big black Glock"
7. Click "Update" just below the Origin State Zip Code
8. Add to Cart & Fill out Info & Pay.

It'll take a few hours to 1 day for ShipMyGun to send the FedEx label. Once you've got that, package it up and find the closest FedEx that will receive "Dangerous Goods". This will be a main hub, not a drop off like FedEx Kinko's, Mailboxes Etc., or the like. Tell them it contains a firearms so they don't just lump it in with the socks from Grandma shipments.

No need to ship from an FFL. Needs to be shipped to an FFL.
Long Guns can go usps mail from an individual to an FFL and you do not have to inform the postal service that it contains a firearm.
Long Guns can also go UPS and FEDEX Ground from an individual to an FFL and you do have to inform them that it contains a firearm.
Handguns can go UPS or Fedex Overnite and you have to inform them that it contains a firearms.
