September Oklahoma City Gun Club 3Gun match 9-27-14

Right on Matt! We need to do an all shotgun match one of these days. I really suck with them, well all 3 really, but they are the funnest part.

I'm sure mike will put on another one. I would also like to see an all carbine match sometime soon.
remind me at the start of the walkthrough, etc, to make a couple announcements regarding this.

We setup a dumdinger of a match for you guys; Iz gonna be fun!!!!!!

also, friendly reminder; please help us tear down the stage you end on and maybe one more. I want to see my wife tomorrow evening at some point.

Really good stages today.
Had a great time on squad one.
Had fun on stage 4 where I managed to time the rotation of a Texas star to hit a star plate and a free standing plate behind it with one shot. I was so excited with that accomplishment I forgot to shoot the other free standing plate.
Any time you can have a hero to zero moment is a great day.
Good stuff.

That was a good match and good stages, unfortunately, my favorite stage, the all shotgun stage, I managed to use all of my ammo and leave some plates on the star. I like Mikes idea, if you don't have a long range, make the targets smaller.

Had a great time today, guys. Thanks to all who helped set up and to Mike for putting in the effort to make this match very enjoyable. I'm hazing myself via gas mask runs for the dropped mag incident so I don't make that mistake again. Pain retains, gentlemen. See you all next month.

Ha! as I was loading my 6 caddies, 24 rounds, (6x4ea) out of a full box of AA's, I remarked to whoever was in earshot, that Ill just throw this lone shell in my pocket. just in case. well, Mr. Portload sure as hell needed it to stop the timer.

Me too almost. I had my vest loaded except for the last 2 rows. Started to just throw it on and go shoot, but decided to go ahead and top it off at the last second. I finished the stage with an empty vest and one round in the gun.

I had plenty of ammo, 8 in the tube plus 1 in the chamber Plus 2 carriers X 4 shells each Plus 2 Pockets X 16 shells each.
I finished the stage with an empty shotgun and 7 or 8 shells in one of my pockets. :) But I finished, and even faster than the 120 Timeout!
