I've seen several posts such as this one expressing disgust over the flurry of recent price gouging:
(South Carolina) Magpul Pmag 15.00 - $15.00
To all those selling mags at 3-5x the price, just thought you should go look in a mirror and tell me how it feels to profit off the deaths of those poor children. You should all be ashamed of yourselves to take advantage of people because they are in a frenzy over recent occourances. Shame!

One could argue the laws of supply and demand aka a free market economy. Remember, it takes two to make a sale. The seller can't take advantage of the buyer without the buyer letting him. In other words, you don't have to pay that price because you don't have to buy it. I say shame on the sellers AND shame on the buyers for creating the demand.

As for me, I won't participate in this frenzy on either end. If I didn't stock up enough during the first four years, shame on me! Furthermore, I don't want to sell any firearms related products to insane individuals. Anyone who would pay $50 or more for a PMAG or $1700 for a basic M4... well those folks are insane in my book.

This will either blow over or it wont. Stay calm and live with it. If you didn't see this coming, you should probably think about paying a little more attention to the world around you in the future.

i was thinking if we want the big gun lobby to put an end to this crap, maybe we should start a "dont buy guns and ammo week, or month".

they want to say they arent making recievers cause they dont want to be caught holding the bag after a ban.

we could show them what its like to not have any business for a while if they dont lobby fienstien out of a job.

Nobody is taking advantage of anyone. Individuals decide to buy/sell products, how much to pay/charge, and when/how to do it. Freedom tastes good for now. Enjoy it till it goes away.

I was in a gun shop yesterday and the guy running it said that they had p mags but were holding onto them to see what they would be able to get out of what they had left.....

Tiger -- Are you suggesting that the government tell companies how much of stuff to make and what they can charge for it?

Please, tell me more about your worker's paradise.

when we called armalite they said they were slowing production because if ARs were banned they didnt want to have a bunch of inventory they cant sell.
so with bammys threat the government is telling manufacturers what they can make and sell.

if it was me i would ramp it up.
its got to be a ploy. never before have they focused so much on this kind of tradjey. and right after re election. talk about a 911 conspirisy? 3000 adults or 20 children, what would the gov meannies not do?
