Second Amendment Sales Tax Free Weekend for 2012

Does anyone know whether we will have a Second Amendment Sales Tax Free Weekend this year?

There will not be one in 2012 unless they change the law/tax code between now and then.

We did not have one in 2011 either.

While there was not a tax free weekend in 2011, lots of stores paid the tax for you that weekend. I bought a riffle at Carolina Rod and Gun and they "paid" the sales tax. There was another store here in Charleston that was doing the same thing, but I cant recall which one off hand.

Academy took 6% off last year. Came out to be a better deal than what the no-sales-tax weekend would have been (slightly, $0.36 per $100).

ATP paid the sales tax last year too but I was told that they wouldn't do it again for 2012.
