I have 2 SDS 1911A1's. I have shot one of them. It shoots very. I would put it up against my
Colt 70 series or my Springfield Loaded. All of my 1911's are in 45 acp

Welcome to the forum. You mean 1911s come in other flavors besides 45acp wow I just thought a perfect pistol needs a perfect Cartridge.
All my pistols no matter the maker come in 45ACP only. Question is do you have any ammo?

I will totally agree with you. I have had other 1911's in 9mm. I no longer have them. I went totally to 45 acp.

Guess I'm a contrarian.. own,shoot, & enjoy 1911's in a variety of calibers & sizes.
Govt, Commander , & Officer sized 1911's in 45
Govt & commander sized 9mm
Govt sized 10mm & 40 S&W

Have 3 different sizes now all in 45, 6 total. Yes I have a very good supply of ammo for them, yesterday was this week's range day. A loading day is coming up soon. Real soon. No ammo problems here at all .

Down to four 1911's in 45 acp , 1 in 9mm . recently sold 2 9mms . 9mm 1911s are nice shooters , but I'm tired of the 9mm ammo situation . Every time there's a hiccup , it's gone . I have plenty , but don't want to use it up . My Dillon XL 650 spits out 45 acp so fast and easy , I've been shooting 45 the most , even in a revolver . My main shooting buddy is a big 38 Super fan . It's a great round , but I'm at the stage in my life where it's time to simplify and another caliber isn't in the cards .

I predict with the current political situation we are looking at at least 3-4 years on very little supply coming after that who really knows I have set aside some savings ($4xxx)for a rainy day if it ever appears at semi normal pricing for 22rf and primers and will instantly jump on it of it ever happens, have very good supply now just to restock then we still shoot weekly here. next match will be PCC class for us.
