What a raw deal. You guys are getting to shoot an ICORE match to limber up and practice, The Indian Territory group are setting up and shooting their monthly match with Revo friendly stages so they can practice and all the SCRAP guys get to do is set up the stages tomorrow afternoon for Sunday's match.
Where's the love???
At least I get to go set the deer stand for a little while tomorrow morning. Maybe it will be long enough!!!!

GT and Tony sure do look better with Revolvers in their hands...I think they are in the denial stage of revolver shooting. GT may be in the Anger stage after his revolver bit his weak hand,,, damn metal guns

next thing you know they will be moved on into the bargaining stage where they say I'll just shoot my revolver at a particular match then on into depression and finally acceptance..
either way we had a good weekend of revolver shooting. and with Tony and GT on our squad at SCRAP it made it that much better. Thanks guys for giving the wheel gun a spin...

Hey Guys, What a great day for a match. A little breezy and cool at the beginning, but when the sun came out it was just about right.
Many thanks to all those who came out and participated. Especially to those who just dug out, or borrowed, a revolver and gear and came and shot the match. I agree with Chris, you looked pretty good with the revo in hand and from the scores I'd say you shot them pretty well also. Great squads and lots and lots of fun (Roger may be the exception on fun because of his ammo issues) but otherwise a fun match with some pretty good groceries at the end. It made my match when the section coordinator stood up from one such stage and looked me an said "I hate Revolver" (with the biggest grin on his face). He may not shoot it a lot over the next year, but I hope he'll continue to come down and shoot with us at least once a year.
My wife commented, after we go home, that everyone seemed to think they shot poorly, but they all seemed to enjoy the BBQ.
Next year we'll plan to hold this match a little earlier in the year (if we can avoid conflicts with major matches), avoid the holidays and deer season and maybe more will be able to participate. Would a Saturday be preferrable? We should even have our new competition area finished, just south of existing range, so that we can have a little more room for fun and interesting stages. Let us know your recommendations to make the match better. ( I know, no more low ports where you have to lay on the moon clip holders)! LOL!!
All in all, we had a great time putting this on and hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Ray Ray, Ammo issues? I was simply trying to find ways to save money at matches. Not only did I save almost a full penny on the cases I did not put powder in, I did not have to shoot the rest of a given stage when it would lodge a bullet in the barrel, as it did it on the first part of two stages and did not have to fire anymore of my preacious ammo. Of course when I drive the bullet out it caused the yoke to go beyond where it was supposed to and I had to drive back in place after every reload. But on a good note I did find out that if the retaining device holding your grips on breaks and the grip falls to the ground I can easily be repaired with Duct Tape. Oh excuse me, South western Oklahoma welding rods. I still had a great time with all the revo guys on our squad even the two bottom feeders, Carrol and Steven. Steven swears he can shoot left handed but the guys on our squad don't have any proof of that. :sarcastichand:
:russian: Roger, I knew you registered as shooting minor; but really??? Just primer and no powder. That's not the way to shoot a match; but then apparently that's all the recoil your grip could take. Especially when they come up in the first moon clip of a stage.
And just for the record, you're not the first one sporting tape to hold their grip together at SCRAP either. Did it with my production gun last year, but I had to use blue painters tape. Colorful and stylish.
Again sorry we didn't get to hang out and talk a little more, but between hanging targets, and taking down stages, it was a pretty busy day.

Thanks to all the REVO guys & Kurt for all the tips with reloads & everything else.
Because of this, I didn't have to resort to my backup plan of gun twirling.
