Make sure you ask for all of the paperwork or they will not send it all. You need the following.

Fingerpring card x2
Certificate of compliance x2
ATF Form 1(5320.1) x2 Only if you are making the SBR. If you were to buy one from someone, you would request a Form 4 plus the two mentioned above.

Hope that helps

You only need to send one cert of compliance as per my investigator. Everything else is x2.

I was under the impression that you needed two certs of compliance so I sent two.

Good luck, be prepared to wait. The best thing to do is to mail your forms off and then forget you sent them off. Eventually, if everything checks out you will get a stamp in the mail in about three months.

I have a spare Lower that I'm wanting to SBR as well.

Regarding the Marking requirements, whats the most reliable/clean method to have the engraving donw? something as simple as a jeweler's engraving setup? Laser Marking, etc?

I'm concerned that once you break the anodozed coating on aluminum lower that you'd encourage flaking, etc...

Sure will Henry.. I'm finally ready to do my NFA Trust, and get my first stamp (SBR) paperwork moving along.. I do have a complete RRA pistol lower, and 2 spare RRA complete rifle lowers(I think you may have handled my purchase at the time, pre-2008 election). I'd prefer to SBR a Rifle Lower and keep my pistol lower untouched/unemcumbered by paperwork, if that makes the most sense.

The next Trust stamps will be on a 30 cal suppressor(I'm sure funding timing will cause a bit of delay, but thats life...LOL).. The kind folks at the Shootzenfest appear to have infected me with their Class 3 disease... and my immune system has refused to fight it.

I believe there are a few more details I'll need to work out on the NFA Trust, if I want to keep things legally firewalled according to the recommendations, but I hope to get moving on the SBR paperwork soon.

Regards,

Charles
