Saw A Benelli Slam Fire

When you pull the trigger, the hammer spring and plunger push up and the top of the spring plunger hits the tab on the shell release latch, which causes it to be pushed down out of the way of the shell interceptor causing a shell to eject from the magazine tube onto the carrier. This is exactly the way it is supposed to work and nothing is wrong. When you pull the trigger it SHOULD send a shell out onto the lifter.

Chambers it can't be battery! It is an inertia system it doesn't need batterys nor gas to operate :haha:

Yes I know THAT'S supposed to happen. But my question is:
why won't the shell in the chamber go off?

I thought the same thing Mike after the first two times it happened so I made positive the bolt was all the way forward every time. It still did it two more times. And at Arkansas it happened, I didn't know what the problem was but that's what it was.

Listen to Mr. Modest! You have built ARs, done Glock trigger work, and modified just about all your gear. You have installed J.P. parts, Nordic stuff etc. I think you are down playing what you can do

Pulling out a BCG and putting in a JP BCG doesn't take a rocket scientist! I did adjust the gas on a Rifle once. I love that single shot AR15!

Sigh! I figured by now all the interweb heros would have got you all fixed up on your question with all kinds of advice flying around that might or might not work, why it happens and what to do. I get sooooooo damn tired of retyping this stuff that I could scream....so guess what? I am not going to. Get hold of a search function either here or over on the big boy forum and figure it out. I will give you a single hint....hydrocarbons baby, hydrocarbons!

to change the subject, Kurt is not going to like a stage at WSG, there is a boat involved!!! He has vehemently stated that we will blow holes in the next boat he has to shoot out of!!!!

I'll be sure to take pictures :sarcastichand: .

When you're at the auto parts store getting a replacement inertia for your shotgun, don't forget to get a quart of blinker fluid for your car just in case. Most people forget about filling it up.

Any issues having trigger jobs done on the FN? It is pretty good out of the box but C-Rum does trigger jobs that smooth them out even more. Just wondering if they could develop the same slam fire issues.
