I don't think that means they're done necessarily - Daniel Defense just filed for bankruptcy not too long ago and they've bounced back pretty well. I'd rather have Sabre around then DD though if I had to choose.

I saw something on their facebook page about filing for chapter 11 reorganization or whatever chapter it is when you stay in business but don't pay your debts. Now their whole facebook page is gone. Thats a shame because they sponsored a bunch of 3 gun matches.

All you have to do is advertise 1 gun part on Boomershooter classifieds.
Sell it and ship it to a foreign country and you will be in the cell next to them.
Put some railed handguards in a box and ship to your army buddies in Afganistan
without proper clearance and they will get you.
You don't fool around shipping out of the US.
Doesn't have to be a gun. only a screw, a pin, a spring.
If its on the US munitions list its a no-no.

The vendor who is donating the barrel for the LOKI build was donating a Sabre barrel - I asked him this week if that was going to be an issue - he says they have already been bought and are back up and running. We shall see if we get a barrel or not LOL

I read an article somewhere that said it just a ton of bureaucracy, the equipment they sold was to our allies in England and the Feds knew all about it. They supposedly thought they'd jumped through the hoops necessary to get the deal done and then the rules got changed on them - rather then comply they put up a little stink and they got the hammer brought down on them. But it's not like they were arming Al-Qaeda. It'd be a shame to see them go away altogether because I've only heard good things about their products but I probably wouldn't miss them because I can't afford their stuff anyway.
