Have a S&W 637 that came from their "Performance Center". Great gun ... but the finish.
After four years of owning this revolver, I noticed the finish on the frame peeling off. So I called S&W and they tell me that the finish only has a one year warranty. So I ask if they are still putting that "clear coat" on their PC guns and was told "yes". I then asked if you know the finish has issues, why are you still putting it on your guns?
His reply was that I can send it back and they will look at it. If it needs refinishing it would be a little over $200.
Not happy. However IF anyone else is in this situation, I would suggest Cerakote. Firearm Solutions in Duncan did an AMAZING job on a Colt 1911. They can do a revolver and it would be much less than what S&W would charge for a finish that would peel off again in a couple more years.
