Supposedly these are a run of pistols Smith did for LE with extra ones being out there. Picked this up off of Enos at lunch today. If you look under the S&W thread there is a post with pics of this pistol.

Anybody have a model number on the M&P 40L? The guy I'm talking to at Buds has no idea what I am talking about.

I'll look at the model number on mine when I get home, but try to call the store and ask for Tony. Daniel sold me mine, so he knows where they are too.

UPDATE - I believe these guys would be at the retail store and not the internet store. Tony would be the Velocity Shooter Tony I do believe

A - doubtful since it probably hasn't met teh requirements (2000 produced etc etc)
B - Why would you want to shoot 40 in production?

Well i have been looking for a m&p 9L or pro with no luck. Tony has some of these and I was trying to think of what classes I could shoot this in. I would do a 9mm conversion if they make one for the 40L, to shoot production. I'm new to USPSA so I'm not sure if you can even convert one and it be legal.

BARRELS: Current rules remain in effect - you may

replace the barrel with an OEM or aftermarket barrel

which is of the same length, contour and caliber as

the original barrel for that model of gun.

Special Notes/Clarifications:

For purposes of this interpretation, a barrel within
+/- 0.1" of OEM is "the same length".
