I've stumbled upon something rare, or I'm being given the wrong model.

Guy wants to give me this in a trade. Says its a S&W 689 .44 mag from PC. I can't find ANY information on it. All I can get out of him is he waited 7 months for it to arrive and paid 1200$ for it......

Any help? Suggestions on where to find a good value on it?

Thanks

So he made a typo 4 times in a row.

Guy doesn't know what he has....but not right for my trade and too far away.

It is certainly good lookin though....

A .44 Mag with a 1" barrel...that is the original "Hand Cannon"....

I have seen them before, but, don't know much about them...I believe that they are just a 629 from the Performance Shop...

Guns from the Shop always have a steep list price...

Seems MSRP is just above $1000.

He wants $1000 cash for it.

Not gonna happen.

Sure does look good though.

I have had a couple of 2 1/2" long barreled .44's and they were a handful...this thing must be a wrist breaker...

But, with that barrel length, you are not going to shoot it very much....Not much to target practice with.

Some months back, there was a guy in Myrtle Beach that had one of those. He said he had had it 2 years and never fired it...

I fugured he bought it then lost the corage to shoot it...

Do a search on gunbroker for Lew Horton S&W's. I've heard that name more than once on S&W 44 snubbie's with smooth cylinders.
