I have been thinking of getting an AR style .22. So far I have heard good things about the Sig and S&W m&p15-22. What is your opinion?

I had the M&P15. I really liked it. I sold it and bought the Ruger SR22. I would not be afraid to buy another 15-22. I have heard good things on the Sig, but have never had one. If you like, I will let you know when I take my SR22 to H&H next time. I put a new sight on it, so it needs to be sighted in. I would be happy to let you put some rounds through it.

I have the S&W 15-22 and like it a lot (when I can pry it out of my son's hands!). Very accurate with the irons it comes with and I've had zero problems with Federal bulk pack ammo.

I haven't talked to anyone that was unhappy with their 15-22... I have a Ceiner kitted .22 upper and a Nordic Components .22 upper. For my money the NC upper is vastly superior to everything else out there, the only drawback right now is that thay are difficult to get right now. The Ceiner kits are great when they run but they don't always run, mine ran great for 10,000's of rounds. It is currently less than 100%.

Nordic goodness...

Ceiner madness...

The MP15 is a good gun from what I've seen guys using them in the rifle matches.

However, the Nordic Components NC22 upper is the cats meow!
