I have a Smith and Wesson 1911 for sale or trade. Trade considerations are extremely limited, see below. The gun has almost 400 rounds through it, and is extremely accurate and perfectly reliable. It is in 99% condition, as a little blueing has rubbed off the top front corner of the front sight from holstering/unholstering during competition and practice draws. It is not the gun I want to compete with, since I'm not very good yet, and the 1911 has a limited capacity in .45ACP and costs more to reload for. The picture shows a Hogue grip, but I also have the original grips, as well as the case, user manual, bushing wrench, and the original two S&W 8-round mags. I also have an 8-round ACT-Mag, an 8-round CMC Powermag, a 7-round Rock Island GI-style mag, and four 10-round CMC Powermags. I also have a Blade-Tech Tek-Lok holster, two Blade-Tech Tek-Lok double mag pouches, and a black leather Don Hume double mag pouch. Cash price of $950 for all of it. In the pic there is oil under the slide release, it is not an "idiot" mark.

Trades considered would be a 1911 in .40SW or 9mm, a Glock 34 or 35, or an M&P Pro in .40SW or 9mm. The Glock or M&P would have to have the same setup in the way of holster and mag pouches and a comparable supply of magazines, and may still require some cash. Preference given toward Glocks.

This is a great deal, unfortunately I have one almost exactly like it. I been shooting IPSC 1 year now with the 1911. I can't say I'm good but I am getting better. Taking the TDSA helped and now I have started dry fire drills at home. I am committed to my 1911, and learning to shoot it well. I'm married to it like I am my wife and I will be true.

You might want another one in the future. Are you sure you want to sell?

Hey in Single stack, we all have 8 shots! To the 9mm Limited shooters I say, "oh yeah, but look at the big holes I made."

Those are good points, and am not sure I want to sell. I too like the enormous and easily visible bullet holes, but it's not economical for me to have this thing, and I took the TDSA class with a G17. I'd like to stick with a Glock or M&P for a while, maybe a year to two, and then pick up the 1911 again. The capacity will help me during USPSA matches, if I do something retarded like stay up drinking until 2AM the night before the match again. Which I seriously doubt I would revisit, but life is complex.
