What do you think about the Ruger LCR? Held one at Academy tonight and was amazed at how light weight it is. Anyone own or shot one? What do you think?

My wife has the LCR-P and the P is for Pink Hogue grips. Frequently guys at the range say "Oh cute gun" then they see the groupings on the target and say "don't make her mad". She likes the LCR and it is her CCW. It does rattle her hand after an outing at the range.

Great gun but I personally dont like .357 out of snubies like that.

Comment deleted, after reading it today I realized sounded like an asshole. In a less then great mood yesterday and my Comment wasn't helpful.

I do wholeheartedly think you should buy a LCR, however.

mcdaniel, I don't think Joker was trashing the caliber by saying he doesn't personally like it out of snubbies. Key word is "personally." Everybody knows the great thing about a 357 is that it gives you lots of ammo options: 357, 38 spl, 38 spl+P, etc.

You are right, I wasn't trashing the gun nor the caliber. I like the Ruger LCR but right now I just have the sp101. I also use .357 mag and sig great round but I just don't like shooting out of the short barrels.

Picked up an LCR 357 yesterday. GREAT gun! Shoots fairly accurately for a snubbie. 38spl shoots very easy, 38+p has a little recoil but very manageable. 357 mag kicks like a mule but not uncomfortable to shoot. I recommend this gun!

I have an LCR in .38 and I love it. I'm not an extremely experienced shooter but I am very happy with how it handles. It'll get the job done if I (hopefully never) ever have to use it defensively.
