I used to hunt a lot with my dad when I was younger. We don't talk much now but I've got a 12yr old. I've taught him gun safety just based on the fact we have guns at home. I've got a Mossberg homer defender 500 in ga, a 870 12ga, and a marlin .22. I've been wanting to find a location where I could take my son out into the woods, hunt for the day and set up a night camp for cleaning and cooking our catch. Not big game, just varmit hunting. Squirrels, rabbits, etc. I want him to be comfortable in the woods so I could work up to leaving him in a tree stand for preety much a full day. I live in goose creek so somewhere around moncks corner or bonneau would be closest for me. Anybody have location suggestions? I have the dnr link to find the regs for my zone, just not sure where to head as I'm not a member of any club yet. Also, at what age does my son need his own hinting license? Any help would be great guys, looking forward to some father son bonding time. Thanks a lot!!!! Please excuse my autocorrect, its not Lways correct.
