Rimfire Challenge.....

In anticipation of the Ruger Rimfire Challenge (RRC) coming up in a couple months, what is the interest level in something similar at Heartland?

4 stages, 25 rds each (5 strings of 5 rds each) for a total of 100 rds.

Targets are self-resetting.

Same divisions as RRC. Rifle and pistol in both Limited (iron sights) and Open (optic)

We would do this on a DIFFERENT day than the 1st and 3rd Sunday. (either the 4th or 5th Sunday). Depending on interest, maybe even during the day!

Prizes, trophies and snacks.

Who would be interested ?

Targets, plastic/rubber "plates," will be suspended from triple lines (to stop the motion quickly for subsequent strings)

Stages will be a combination of RRC, Steel Challenge and DEOTBT

Unlike RRC, at least two stages will require the shooter to move.

Pistol shooters will be closer than rifle shooters.

I'd be up for some of this if I can get loose to make it up there. I just put another optic on my Buckmark and the next Steel Challenge will be drastically different than the last one. It sucks when the sun washes out the dot. Problem solved...

That sounds kinda cool. Back in the day, they used to have .22 matches at H&H I used to shoot in when i was a kid. That was some great fun. The winner won a brick of CCI each week.

I just had a friend ask me if there were any rimfire matches locally so he could get his young son started shooting. Is there a rimfire match anywhere close with a juniors division?
