Hmmm... I posted this yesterday on Facebook and have not gotten banned by them (yet), but who knows.

"Since there was a gun show this weekend at RIR, I wanted to make yet, another Pro-2nd Amendment posting on Facebook:
Who on here DOESN'T own the famous, the ubiquitous, the "Ford F150 of shotguns"... The one, the only, the Remington 870 pump action 12ga shotgun!"
(2nd post/comment by me)
"Oh, and before anyone freaks out... It is unloaded, the chamber is open, and the pump action slide is pulled back (opening the chamber)."

So, with that said, who else is a fan of the classic Rem 870? It's everywhere! Every deer camp, every duck blind, all across the good ol' USA, the 870 is around! :D

I've owned two! My current one is a 20 inch slug barreled home defence set up with extended magazine and 5 rd side saddle. It's a little heavy but that mitigates the recoil of buckshot and slug loads.

I own 2 although neither one is considered the "classic" 870. I have one that is a police version, adjustable polymer stock and 18 inch barrel and my second one is a camoflaged hunter version. I recently gave my son an original classic 870. It really is an awesome shotgun, built to last!

I d got a police trade in from Alabama that’s pretty cool, my youngest son has one, one of my bucket list guns is one NIB, the real glossy finish, not an Express, a Wingmaster, there are some around, kinda pricey but not terrible. One of these days I’ll have one

I am the owner of twins. Two nickel plated 870 Marine Magnums equipped with pistol grips. I love them. Very reliable. If an intruder was to hear you rack them, there's no mistaking what they are, and would most likely head for the nearest exit.

Love those nickel Marine coated ones, would like one of those for sure, I’ve got a bluish Kryptic camo Mossberg 590(great shotgun itself)but it might be worth selling it and replacing with the Marine one, dang, sometimes these threads get me thinking to much!

Let's say... "several" 870s. How they turned up I got no idea! When I was in school a guy brought one in that was buried in pig shit (yes, really) for a year. The farmer leaned it up on the hog lot wall at it fell over and he couldn't find it until he plowed out the hot lot. Gave it to my friend. After boiling the shit out of it (yes, literally, no stock left on it!), replacing all the springs (some did not need replacing, most worked fine after boiling and oiling, but hey, it was stripped and springs don't cost much), it worked fine! Then bought a stock and forearm, reblued it and he had a perfectly functioning 870 for about $40!

I'm here, you're not
I had an 870 TB trap when I was a young girl, now I have another which is an 870 TC trap with cut checkering. I also like the older 31 models and have three of them, one being a 1949 TC trap model in almost new condition.

870 Wingmaster. First gun I ever bought from a store. I was waiting at the door of Earls Gun Shop on College ave in Berkeley (last Berkeley gun store/ soon closed) at 9:50 am on the day of my 18th birthday. The rest is history.
