If it's as much help as you needed with the shotgun, I'm calling BS. Don't do it Kurt, GT just wants to make us all look even worse than he already does :lol:.
I'd love to get in on this. Anyone thinking of taking this class, do it, you won't be disappointed. I just finished the RNT 3gun class last weekend & couldn't be happier. I only wish I had a match to shoot this weekend, I guess that would make me happier.
May 1st pistols at Heartland. Only one, but still fun.
I plan on being there on sunday. I was talking about a 3gun match though, so I can put into practice some of the things I've just learned.

It would be great if this rifle class comes before the Hi Plains.

AHHHHHH...Yall drive me krazy!!! Against ALL my better judgement I Will do a one day class IF that is the consensus. I will do it befor the High Plains, but HERE is the deal. If I offer this class and only get 6-8 people like I did after I had 15 signed up for the 3-gun. I aint going to do any more training in Oklahoma. Yall can figure out how to do all this stuff on your own. It only took me 15 years or so, and I know all of yall are much smarter than I am so it should only take all of you 8 years to get what I already know.
For a one day class I would have to drop all the shooting while moving, stage reading, and stage shooting. I would have to drop either maintainence, or malfunction clearence. We would still do Correctly holding the rifle, single shot snaps in 1.5 seconds, true doubles, shooting cadence. Propper position shooting and support position shooting, and shooting in the medium ranges 200-300. I would include also the basic skill building drills to get you rocking with a carbine/rifle. Plan on a 10 hour day, around 600 rounds, and plan on $225.
Saturdays that would work are, May 14 ( depending on the SASS shoot that I need to find out about) June 11 or June 18
Let me know what works and I will find out about the SASS thing. Also let me know what of the "either, or" items you want to drop. KurtM
P.S. if this doesn't work I will still look into a full on two day class latter, but if I only get a few folks, I am going to drop the shotgun training this year as well. Now before anyone starts to moan that this date is Dads day, Mom day, St. Ives day. I don't know what those dates are so if it is in conflict with those days PLEASE let me know before you sign up and then drop out!

How physically demanding will this class be? I've got some back problems and don't want to be laughed at for stopping mid-class. I get around fine, work for a living, etc. but a lot of up and down is hard on me. Sounds like fun, and a damned sure could use some instruction. Also, I'm a lefty to throw a bit more **** in the game...

Only 2 of us are willing to commit to a date? Come on ladies. This kind of training isn't available to most shooters ever. We get to pick our dates for crying out loud.

I may be wrong but others may be confused how to get their name on the list as I was.
It wasn't until I tried to reply in order to put my name on did I realize Jesse's name had been on the list all along. I did go to the eye doctor yesterday and yes...that could have been the problem and there may not be anyone confused.
I hope more people will put their names down so Kurt will keep training.
The 18th is the week in front of Hi Plains and will be an excellent tune up for me.
I plan on learning enough to win enough prizes to recover my training fee.
If I don't I will blame it on my Alzheimer's...and poor eye sight.
