Yeah I almost did that, but I don't know exactly what I'm going to do with Ugamug. I went with the Aimpoint because I can leave it on constantly for up to three years, so I can leave it on all the time if Ugamug becomes a truck gun or house gun. All I have to do is set duplicate calendar reminders to change the battery every year to 18 months to remain on the safe side.

Surprised no one mentioned the Equipment exchange. That's an attractive route to me for two reasons, one the obvious, you can get stuff cheaper; and two, generally the price you buy something for on the EE is the same price you can sell it for (thereabouts) if you decide you don't care for it. So if you are patient, you can experiment with different optics without losing money on them until you find what you like.
